Formation:

な-Adjective (without な) + く + Verb

Examples:

彼は静かく話す。
Kare wa shizuka ku hanasu.
He speaks quietly.
部屋をきれいく掃除した。
Heya wo kirei ku souji shita.
I cleaned the room neatly.
彼女は元気く働いています。
Kanojo wa genki ku hataraiteimasu.
She works energetically.
先生は親切く説明してくれる。
Sensei wa shinsetsu ku setsumei shite kureru.
The teacher explains kindly.

Long explanation:

This grammar point is used to turn a な-adjective into an adverb, allowing it to modify a verb. To do this, simply remove the な part of the な-adjective and add く to the end of the adjective, which then allows it to describe the manner in which an action is done.
