Examples:

私は母を思ってやまない。
Watashi wa haha o omotte yamanai.
I can't help but think about my mother.
彼は彼女を愛してやまなかった。
Kare wa kanojo o aishite yamanakatta.
He was hopelessly in love with her.
彼は日本の文化を尊敬してやまない。
Kare wa Nihon no bunka o sonkei shite yamanai.
He holds nothing but respect for Japanese culture.
