Examples:

如果你不勤奋学习,你将不能通过这个考试,反之,如果你勤奋学习,你将可以通过这个考试。
Rúguǒ nǐ bù qínfèn xuéxí, nǐ jiāng bù néng tōngguò zhège kǎoshì, fǎnzhī, rúguǒ nǐ qínfèn xuéxí, nǐ jiāng kěyǐ tōngguò zhège kǎoshì.
If you don't study diligently, you will not be able to pass this exam, on the contrary, if you study diligently, you will be able to pass this exam.
如果你总是迟到的话,老师会对你感到不满,反之,如果你总是准时,老师会对你印象深刻。
Rúguǒ nǐ zǒngshì chídào dehuà, lǎoshī huì duì nǐ gǎndào bùmǎn, fǎnzhī, rúguǒ nǐ zǒngshì zhǔnshí, lǎoshī huì duì nǐ yìnxiàng shēnkè
If you are always late, the teacher will be dissatisfied with you; on the contrary, if you are always on time, the teacher will be impressed by you.
如果你吃的东西很健康,你会感到精力充沛,反之,如果你吃的东西很不健康,你会感到疲劳。
Rúguǒ nǐ chī de dōngxī hěn jiànkāng, nǐ huì gǎndào jīnglì chōngpèi, fǎnzhī, rúguǒ nǐ chī de dōngxī hěn bù jiànkāng, nǐ huì gǎndào píláo.
If you eat very healthy foods, you will feel energetic, on the contrary, if you eat very unhealthy foods, you will feel tired.
如果你每天运动,你将会更健康,反之,如果你懒惰不运动,你可能会生病。
Rúguǒ nǐ měitiān yùndòng, nǐ jiāng huì gèng jiànkāng, fǎnzhī, rúguǒ nǐ lǎnduò bù yùndòng, nǐ kěnéng huì shēngbìng.
If you exercise every day, you will be healthier, on the contrary, if you are lazy and do not exercise, you may get sick.

反之 (fǎnzhī) is a conjunctive phrase in Mandarin Chinese that is used to put forward a contrasting statement or idea to what has just been said. It is equivalent to 'on the contrary' or 'conversely' in English. It shows the inverse or the opposite situation of the first part of the statement.
