Formation:

Time Phrase + Subject + Verb + Rest of the sentence

Examples:

明天我要去上海出差,所以今天晚上我必须把工作做完。
Míngtiān wǒ yào qù Shànghǎi chūchāi, suǒyǐ jīntiān wǎnshang wǒ bìxū bǎ gōngzuò zuò wán.
I am going to Shanghai on business tomorrow, so I must finish my work tonight.
他午饭时间总是在图书馆看书,从来不浪费一分钟。
Tā wǔfàn shíjiān zǒng shì zài túshūguǎn kànshū, cónglái bùlàngfèi yī fēnzhōng.
He always spends his lunch time reading in the library, never wasting a minute.
周末的时候,她喜欢去公园散步,然后在咖啡店写作。
Zhōumò de shíhòu, tā xǐhuān qù gōngyuán sànbù, ránhòu zài kāfēi diàn xiězuò.
On weekends, she likes to take walks in the park and then write in a coffee shop.
我上大学的时候,每天晚上都要学习到很晚。

The Mandarin Chinese word '时间 (shíjiān)' is used to express or indicate time. It can be used to refer to a certain point in time, duration or time period. Unlike English, time expressions in Chinese generally comes before the verb in a sentence.
